You'll need:
1 onion, diced
Healthy dollop of minced garlic (what recipe doesn't need a healthy dollop of garlic?)
1 lb pork sausage
1 tsp curry powder
1 tsp Mom's Special Seasoning (recipe below)
Diced Kuri squash
1/2 cup wild rice
64 oz beef broth
Saute sausage, onion, garlic and squash over medium high heat in your soup pot. When cooked, add spices. Then add beef broth and wild rice. Bring to a boil then reduce to simmer for 45 minutes.
Mom's Special Seasoning
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp sea salt
1 tsp parsley
1 tsp paprika
1 tsp ground mustard
1/2 tsp pepper
Mix together and store in a container if you don't use it all. I use this for roasted potatoes, baked chicken, anything! I usually quintuple the recipe and keep a vat of it ready.
